Eligibility

To be eligible for ordering from Tech CYte you must:

• Use the products for educational or academic purposes
• Retired faculty or staff are eligible. *You may be asked to show proof.
• Current student or incoming student of Iowa State University.
• Please present your red ISUCard to place or pick up an order

Placing an Order

Visit Tech CYte, located in the Iowa State University Book Store in the Memorial Union, for assistance in configuring a computer or to obtain pricing. We can be reached by e-mail at techcyte@iastate.edu or call (515) 294-8357.

To place an order for a computer, a quote (or proposal) must be created from the desired vendor. Links to our computer vendors are listed above. Save the quote and either print the completed quote or take note of the quote number. Without this number, Tech CYte cannot place the order without reconfiguring the system and contacting you to approve the configuration.

Departmental orders may be faxed to Tech CYte at 294-3702, sent by campus mail to UBS, Memorial Union, or delivered in person. Please include a completed Book Store Charge Form and the saved quote.

Personal orders must be placed in person at UBS in the Memorial Union. Personal orders for non-stock items and computers require a completed Computer Sales Personal Purchase Agreement. In addition, computer orders require a saved quote from the desired vendor. Personal orders are paid for when the customer comes to pick up the system, not at the time of placing the order. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express).
