Graduation Rings Tradition

Tradition

"It is our heritage, our tradition, our responsibility and our commitment to the future to pursue the goals of excellence-excellence in learning, excellence in discovery, and excellence in engagement." -Iowa State University President, Gregory Geoffroy

Dear Students and Parents,

From your very first step onto the beautiful Iowa State University campus, your time has been filled with moments of celebration that will all too soon become memories.

As a lasting reminder of your achievements on this beautiful campus, the ISU Alumni Association and the University Book Store, on behalf of Iowa State University, are proud to offer you the opportunity to order the Official Iowa State University Ring. The ring evokes memories of the occasions and traditions that have created your special time at Iowa State - classes, friendships, sporting events, Veishea, and the resonating sound of the Campanile bells. The ring also symbolizes what you have learned and accomplished.

The ring is reserved exclusively for individuals who have successfully met the university's ring standards. The ring was designed by a group of Iowa State students, alumni, and administrators, and will remain unchanged into the university's future. As a symbol of Iowa State tradition, it is instantly recognizable - a tangible connection for Iowa State graduates. The visual continuity will generate an exclusive link with graduates for years to come.

As you graduate into the greater alumni community, remember your enduring friendships and academic accomplishments at Iowa State. This ring is a symbolic, continuous link with classmates, friends, and generations of alumni. Those qualified to wear the ring proudly state to others, "I am an Iowa State graduate."

Sincerely,
Lynette Seymour,
General Manager Iowa State University Book Store

Jeffery W. Johnson,
President Iowa State University Alumni Association
