Additional Information: The Cyclones Take New York Design Competition is a cross campus program that connects Iowa State University's Department of Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management, Trademark Licensing Office, and College of Design to give students a true design-to-retail experience. Student teams create a trend-forward graphic that can become licensed merchandise and sold through campus and external retailers. The process mirrors real client work through a pitch-style presentation, Q&A, and feedback from a panel of faculty, industry professionals, and licensing staff. Selected designs move forward into real production, giving students the opportunity to see their work brought to life beyond classroom.
