How they work:
- The Physics: The natural texture of the rock contains microscopic holes.
- Real-world example: Think of how a paper towel sucks up water. The stone acts the same way. It pulls the sweat from your cold glass right into the coaster so it doesn't pool on your table.
- Care and Cleaning: Because they absorb water, they also absorb liquids like coffee or spilled soda. Mix warm water and a little bit of dish soap. Gently scrub the surface with a soft sponge. Rinse well and let it air dry with the rubber pad (bottom) side facing up. For tough stains, soak the coaster overnight in a mix of 3 parts water and 1 part bleach, then rinse well.
