Starting Your System for the First Time
TechCyte recommends that you set up and start your system within three days of receipt and before adding any components.
Technical Support for ISU Software and Services

Need Help with a Vendor Problem?
If you do not get a satisfactory response when working with a vendors' technical support or for any problem with a purchase made through TechCyte, send an email to email@example.com or call 515-294-8357 and ask to speak with a supervisor. Please have the following information ready when you call or include the details in your email:
- A description of the problem you are experiencing
- A summary of any correspondence or phone calls with the vendor(s) and TechCyte, including dates
- The case number, if any, assigned to you by the vendor
- The original Computer Sales Order #
Dell Warranty Summary
All Dell computers are sold with one- to four-year parts and labor warranty. Extended service plans may also be purchased while the orignal warranty is still in effect.
If you are experiencing problems with your new system, you may either call Dell Technical Support (800-234-1490) or contact TechCyte for further assistance.
Dell Technical Support
Information on direct support from Dell Technical Support (800-234-1490) is included with your system. Additional information is available at: www.support.dell.com. You will need to provide them with the Express Service Code of your system.
Dell Warranty Service
If the equipment is owned by Iowa State, or by a current student, faculty or staff member, Dell original warranty or out-of-warranty service is available through TechCyte Service Center, ISU Book Store 1150 Memorial Union, 515-294-2218, or directly from Dell Computer.
For equipment that does not meet the Iowa State affiliation requirements, contact Dell Computer Technical Support at 800-234-1490 or via the web at www.support.dell.com.
Dell extended warranty service can be purchased through TechCyte or direct from Dell Computer.
Apple Warranty & Support
Apple products come with 90 days of complimentary telephone support and 1 year of repair coverage. You can extend your coverage with an AppleCare Protection Plan, available in our store or on the Apple website up to 1 year after your purchase.
